WHY CHOOSE A BANDO BELT?

Bando is a long-established Japanese manufacturer of automotive, motorcycle, scooter, industrial, and power-transmission belts.

A quality CVT belt is especially important because it transfers engine power between the variator and rear driven pulley. An incorrectly sized, badly worn, or low-quality belt can negatively affect acceleration, top speed, CVT operation, and overall reliability.

Bando belts are designed for:

• Smooth power transfer

• Consistent CVT operation

• Reliable grip under acceleration

• Resistance to heat and flexing

• Reduced belt slippage

• Long service life when properly installed

• Consistent belt dimensions

WHEN SHOULD A CVT BELT BE REPLACED?

Consider replacing your belt if you notice:

• Cracks in the belt

• Fraying along the edges

• Missing or damaged belt material

• Belt width below the service limit

• Excessive slipping

• Poor acceleration

• Engine RPM increasing without a corresponding increase in speed

• Unusual CVT noise

• Belt contamination from oil or grease

• Unknown belt age on an older scooter

A worn belt can become narrower over time, changing how high or low it rides in the CVT pulleys and potentially affecting both acceleration and maximum speed.

IMPORTANT FITMENT INFORMATION

DO NOT PURCHASE A CVT BELT BASED ONLY ON ENGINE SIZE OR SCOOTER MODEL.

Manufacturers sometimes used different CVT components or belt sizes on different production years and versions of the same scooter.

BEFORE ORDERING:

Compare the number printed on your old belt whenever possible.

The most important dimensions for this belt are:

749.5mm LENGTH
16.5mm WIDTH
28° ANGLE

If your existing belt has a different number, width, or length, verify compatibility before ordering.

INSTALLATION NOTES

For best results:

• Inspect the variator and rear pulley before installation.

• Clean belt-contact surfaces if necessary.

• Do not apply oil or grease to the belt or pulley faces.

• Make sure the belt is properly seated before tightening the variator.

• Inspect variator rollers, guides, clutch, and pulley components while the CVT cover is removed.

• Rotate the CVT by hand after installation to confirm proper belt positioning.

A new belt may require a short break-in period before reaching its normal operating characteristics.
